My favorite line of this sloppily-written screed against sloppy writing is “Gawker is just a deeply cynical exercise in seeing how many hits one alleged photo of Britney Spears getting drunk can rack up,” because by then the reader has wasted all this time reading the piece and only now knows for sure that the writer is (a) just flat-out lying or (b) only read Gawker once, for an hour, by clicking through a Young Manhattanite link.

EDIT: Brian, he’s not saying what you’re saying. So even if I agree with you, no, he’s not right.

I only point this out because Nick pedanticly points out others’ grammatical mistakes: it should be “sloppily written” without the hyphen since “sloppily” is an adverb modifying the verb “written.”
